Blog is dreadfully behind

I know the blog is dreadfully behind, but when I do catch up here are some things you can look forward to:

Qutab Minar complex (this was WAY back on October 24)
Humayun's Tomb (Nov 11)
Red Fort (just this past Wed)
Marine Ball (this past Saturday)
Our new house (yes we moved!)
Jama Masjid (this past Sunday)

Coming soon....Thanksgiving trip to Singapore!

Happy Thanksgiving everyone

OBAMAS!!

You have all read the news and yes they were here.  Wow.  What can I say?

We both got to see them at a special event they did to thank the Embassy staff and families.  Both were so gracious, thankful, and definitely touched by what we do for them.  They kept looking at the audience, thanking us, and took much more time than allotted to be with us.  It was awesome.

On the rope line they shook many hands, and looked each of us in the eye.  Really cool.  I shook both the President and Mrs. Obama's hands and got to thank THEM for being in office.

I do have to say though, I am in love with Michelle Obama.  Sorry Sandip, but it is true.  She is amazing.  The way she holds herself with that mixture of grace and normalcy.  You read about it all the time and it is completely, 100% true. She is just one of those rare people that oozes humility but at the same time she can totally take you on brains and frankly muscle.  Seriously awesome.

Now onto the pics.  Sorry there are none of us with the Obamas, but you can still see them.  Enjoy!

The scene at the event.

Oh there we are at the event.  You can see the flags in the background.

Decorated the pool.

Ok one minute it is a blank podium, the next it has the Presidential seal on it.  Seriously this thing appeared out of nowhere.

See how cool she is?

So awesome.

Coming near me on the ropeline.
